This is one of those red square/point of interest spots on the map that is worth a stop. It is located off Hwy 49 west of Helena, AR.
Two miles down a paved side road, the road ends at a parking lot. A boardwalk leads into a swamp. Why a swamp? And what does it have to do with the Louisiana Purchase?

About the wildlife....we didn't see a raccoon, swamp rabbit, nor possum.

Yes! (Don't know if it was this particular frog or not.)
