Life
If you give up your life - or any part of it - for the sake of Christ, He always finds ways to give it back to you.

"...I have come that they might have life, and that they have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

Esprit, my inflatable kayak

My friend Ev gave me some photos she took of me and my kayak the day we paddled the Silver River.

There's a half-mile trail to the canoe/kayak launch at Silver River State Park. I bought this little hand truck at Lowe's to transport my gear. Here it is all loaded in the parking lot.

Ready to go...the hand cart worked well.

At the landing....first, assemble the 2-piece paddle.

Next, unfold the kayak
and get out the foot pump.

Attach the pump hose to a valve.
There are 3 chambers to fill;
it takes 5-10 minutes.

Finally, screw on the valve caps.

Ready to launch!

On the river!

Navigating through the lily pads...

exploring the narrow passages along the sides.

Taking a photo of nesting anhingas.

Looking into the main spring, headwaters of the river.

"And the Lord shall guide you continually,...and you shalt be like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." (Isaiah 58:11)

All finished, and ready to head back to the parking area. This picture shows my friend's hard kayak and the renovated baby carriage cart she made to carry it.

I hope to get back out on the river next Tuesday to test out my new improved circulation in my arm.

Limbo

Roe here: It's a tough life for the fur kids when Mom is stuck at home.

Like when the ball falls in the pool...

and the lizards are on the outside of the screen.

Sure hope we get back on the road soon.

Limbo

I've decided to start a new blog of my travels. Only problem is, I'm not traveling right now. I'm gearing up for summer travels, as soon as the doctor's get through with me. Meanwhile, I'll post about activities I find close to home while I'm "in limbo."
